This privacy policy explains how LOSPay collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use its services, websites, software development kits (SDKs), APIs and applications. By using LOSPay, you accept the collection and use of the information described here.
1. Information we collect
- Account and identity data: name; email address; phone number; company name; registration documents; official ID for verification; date of birth.
- Payment and transaction data: card or bank account information; transaction amounts; payment link metadata; invoices; billing and settlement records.
- Device and usage data: IP address; browser and device type; operating system; crash and performance logs; pages and features viewed; timestamps.
- Location data: country-level location inferred from IP and billing addresses; precise location only if you explicitly enable it.
- Customer data and third-party data: information you provide about your customers when creating payment links or onboarding sellers; data received from partners and public sources.
- Cookies and tracking technologies: We use cookies, web beacons, pixels and similar technologies to provide, secure and analyze our services.
2. How we use information
- Providing and operating the services: creating and managing accounts, processing payments, generating payment links, issuing receipts and making settlements.
- Security, fraud prevention and compliance: verifying identity, performing KYC/AML checks, detecting and preventing fraud, handling disputes and chargebacks, and complying with laws and regulations.
- Customer support and communications: responding to inquiries, sending transaction notifications, administrative messages and service updates.
- Product improvement and analytics: analyzing usage to improve features, performance and reliability, and to develop new products.
- Marketing and promotions: sending promotional messages where you consent; allowing merchants to send communications to their customers where permitted.
- Legal and risk management: enforcing our terms of use, defending our interests in legal proceedings and protecting our rights, those of our users and those of third parties.
3. Legal bases for processing
- Contractual necessity — to perform the services you request.
- Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Legitimate interests — for fraud prevention, service improvement and security, balanced against your rights.
- Consent — where required for a particular processing such as marketing or precise geolocation data.
4. Sharing and disclosure
- Payment service providers and financial institutions receive the transaction details and settlement instructions needed to transfer funds.
- Service providers and vendors: OM, MOMO, analytics, hosting, identity verification, customer support, messaging and SMS providers that process data on our behalf under contract.
- Marketplace participants: when you use marketplace features, we share the necessary information with sellers, buyers and platform administrators in order to enable transactions.
- Legal and regulatory disclosures: disclosing data to comply with subpoenas, court orders, law enforcement or other legal processes.
- Corporate transactions: relating to mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, insolvencies or asset sales; subject to confidentiality clauses.
- With your consent: where you expressly authorize sharing with third parties.
- We do not sell your personal data. LOSPay does not sell your personal information for third-party marketing purposes.
5. Cookies and tracking

- Types — necessary cookies, performance cookies, functionality cookies and advertising cookies.
- Control — manage cookies through the cookie banner, your browser settings or your account preferences; disabling non-essential cookies may reduce functionality.

- Retention period — we keep personal and transactional data for as long as necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements.
- Deletion and anonymization — when data is no longer needed, we securely delete it or irreversibly anonymize it.

- Measures — encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, logging, vulnerability scanning and regular security assessments.
- Account protection — generation of one-time passwords, two-factor authentication, role-based access for teams and session management controls.
- Data breach response — incident response procedures and notifications to affected users and regulators where required by law.

- Cross-border processing — LOSPay operates globally; your data may be transferred to and processed in countries with different privacy laws.
- Safeguards — transfers rely on legal mechanisms such as standard contractual clauses, data processing agreements or adequacy decisions, where applicable.

- Access and rectification — request access to the personal data we hold about you, or its rectification.
- Deletion — request deletion of personal data where the law allows, subject to retention obligations.
- Portability — request a copy of certain data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection and restriction — object to certain processing, or request its restriction, based on legitimate interests or direct marketing.
- Cookie and marketing preferences — disable non-essential cookies and marketing communications through your account settings or unsubscribe links.

10. Children
- LOSPay's services are not intended for children below the minimum legal age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that we have collected such data without parental consent, we will take the necessary steps to delete it.
11. Third-party links and embedded content
- LOSPay may contain links or embedded content from third parties. These services have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties and encourage you to review their policies.
12. Changes to this policy
- We may change this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in legal requirements. The revised policy will be published with a new effective date and, where appropriate, we will notify you by email or through an in-app message.
